Evangelicalism's Winter?
November / December 2008

Concluding our year-long theme of "Christless Christianity," our final issue of 2008 looks at the current state of evangelicalism, considering its past and what the future may hold. We start with Michael Horton's article on the uneasy relationship between Reformed Christianity and American evangelicalism; then D. G. Hart asks, if by considering all Protestants alike-confessional and non-confessional-do we end up negating the Reformation? Baptist theologian Roger Olson discusses a particular form of evangelicalism known as "the Prosperity Gospel"; and our resident journalist Mollie Z. Hemingway looks at the codependent relationship between the media and evangelicalism. Finally, in a special section, eleven respected Christian leaders provide insightful answers to the difficult question: What is the future of evangelicalism?
