Youth

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."
--Psalm 1:1-3

See the activity list below

Our youth group is for young people from 6th grade up, and our desire is to make disciples of each one of these awesome young people. Each of our meetings consists of worship and teaching.

Here is the Youth (Jr. High and High School) Teaching schedule:

First Sunday of the Month: Communion/Family Day - Youth attend service in the Sanctuary with their families.

Second through Fifth Sunday of the Month: Jr. High and High School are in the Sanctuary for worship and upstairs for teaching.

Every Wednesday: Youth are in the Sanctuary for the summer.

Come upstairs and hang out with us!
We love new people and will welcome you heartily.

Dear Parents and Teens

I'm writing this note in hopes that it will help you in making out your 2008 family calendars. As you know we have several annual events yearly that are planned and designed in hopes of giving our young people times of challenging, encouraging and maturing in their faith. We already provide weekly opportunities for this in our Sunday morning study (now going thru the book of Hebrews) and our Wed. night study (Guys going thru the book of John and ladies going thru a study call “Becoming a true woman”).

These are events and weekly meetings that we are confident will help encourage your Teens, but are not meant to replace or compete with the task that you have as parents in raising and discipling your young people in the faith. We as a leadership have been growing in our conviction that we want to see healthy families where fathers and mothers are taking the lead in discipling and training their young people as we see those commands of God in the scriptures (Eph. 6:1-4, Col. 3:18-21, Deut. 4;9, 6;4-9, 11:16-19, Ps. 78:1-8). We hope not to over burden our families with activities that would hinder, divide or replace the family time even more than what our society is already doing. We hope in the future to see more and deeper times of family worship here at the church and every day at home. I have listed resources below several items that I think will help you as parents in understanding our hope and vision for our families in the future.
